Global Frontier Missions hosts informative short-term vision trips to Bangkok, Thailand for those considering long-term service in Southeast Asia. If you sense God calling you to the Buddhist world, these short-term trips offer a quick look at ministries in the region and will help solidify your next steps toward serving among Southeast Asia's unreached peoples.

The purpose of these “vision trips” is for people to get a glimpse of Thailand and consider the possibility of life and ministry there. Our ministry partners teach English, work with children/youth, facilitate sports ministry, fight sex trafficking, serve refugees, do campus ministry, aid in theological education, and more, in order to share the gospel and see the kingdom of God grow throughout the region (Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Japan). If a ministry mentioned here stirs your heart, we invite YOU to join us for an upcoming vision trip. God may lead you or your church to link with one of these organizations for long-term service among the millions of Buddhists with little access to the Gospel.

Trip participants spend one week in Bangkok prayer walking around the city, visiting Buddhist temples, figuring out public transportation, learning a little bit of Thai language and culture, and getting Biblical teaching. The trip includes authentic interaction with missionaries and churches about the joys and challenges of long-term ministry, plus visa issues, language acquisition, the difference between paid and raise-your-own-support positions, and other topics. 

This is not a typical “mission trip” where the goal is to evangelize, help out at an orphanage, or build something. This is mainly a prayer and scouting trip to expose people to the needs in the region and to help them discern if the Lord is directing them to serve long-term in Thailand or Southeast Asia.
